Born in South Boston, Va; with ties to Clarksville, Va, he was raised in the city of Richmond. Was educated and well rounded at Meadowbrook High School in Chesterfield, Va.

As a youth, his inspiration has always been music, art, dancing, and writing! He began writing poems and music.

After a short-lived rap career, this dancer still felt the need to channel his voice and views on certain subjects.

He wrote his first story "Uncomfortable Silence",(currently unpublished), in the late 90s. The next story didn't unfold until 2008 with Exit 11 (Saga of Ace), the first of a 6-book saga.

For the years to follow, numerous stories began to emerge from the mind of A. Garnett!

He currently resides in the city of Richmond, with his lovely wife Kishema, and collectively raising their six children.
